July 5th 2024 marks the 112th Anniversary of the Elstead Marathon with a glorious history since 1912 of combining endeavour, fun and community spirit.

Last year’s event was a roaring success. 640 runners participated to make it the biggest event on record, and at least 1,000 family members, friends, and local residents turned out to cheer them along the course.​ The cobwebs of lockdown were shaken off and we drove the event forward despite not being able to include our famous river crossing. We are quietly confident the course will revert to it’s much-loved traditional route this year thanks to the dilegent efforts of our team of volunteers.

This event creates an excellent opportunity for community focused businesses to engage their Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing strategies as a key sponsor for this very special 112th Marathon.

Our children and young people need the opportunities and skills that Elstead Scouting provides more than ever, and we are committed to making the 2024 Elstead Marathon a wonderful success in raising funds to enable a rich and exciting programme of experiences and opportunities for our young people in the local community.​

Scouting and the Elstead Village Community has a long history in supporting others, and the spriit of this fine tradition is once again vigorously employed in supporting our youth and our wider community.
