June 2023 marks the 111th Anniversary of the Elstead Marathon with a glorious history since 1912 of combining endeavour, fun and community spirit.

Last year the event made a triumphant comeback after a 2-year hiatus due to Covid. Almost 600 runners participated, and around 1,000 attendees turned out to cheer them along the much-loved course.

This event creates an excellent opportunity for community focused businesses to engage their Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing strategies as a key sponsor for this very special 111th Marathon event.

The last year has blessed us with a few green shoots of recovery after what has been an extremely difficult time for all of us, and the leaders and volunteers have done an incredible job of providing an engaging programme for the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

Our children and young people need the opportunities and skills that Elstead Scouting provides more than ever, and we are committed to making the 111th Elstead Marathon a wonderful success in raising funds to enable a rich and exciting programme of experiences and opportunities for our young people in the local community.

Scouting and the Elstead Village Community has a long history in supporting others, and the spriit of this fine tradition is once again vigorously employed in supporting our communities’ youth, and also those affected by the devastating humanitarian events in Ukraine through UNICEF.
